Summary:
The Production Control Engineer role is responsible for providing Engineering support to the Production Control and Purchasing teams to drive on-time delivery and overall performance of new and existing awards.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Facilitate coordination between cross-functional teams at the direction of the Supply Chain Manager and Production Control Supervisor
- Provide tactical Engineering support to the Production Control department, with an emphasis on on-time delivery, efficiency, and profitability
- Provide direct support to the Process Improvement Team to ensure timely resolutions of production issues
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes to reduce costs and improve lead time
- Liaison with Engineering and Quality teams to resolve production related issues quickly and effectively
- Engage with suppliers to resolve Engineering-related issues/questions in a timely manner
- Support Production Control activities, as required
- Identify opportunities and/or participate in continuous improvement activities

Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
- High Energy, self-motivated, self-started, team player and willingness to learn
- Assertive, clear and precise communication with internal customers and coworkers is a must.
- Hands-on approach. Willing to "touch" parts to ensure execution.
- Must have time management skills and the ability to organize and optimize work.
- Experience in some form of project or program management, customer service, production control or account management desired.
- +1 year of experience preparing status updates, line of balance reports, progress updates and basic industrialization plans desired.
- BS in an Engineering field from an accredited institution or +3 years of progressive experience and proved accomplishments in the aerospace industry servicing major OEM customers
- Must be able, capable and willing to troubleshoot and do problem solving to improve customer experience.
- Proficiency with MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Experienced utilizing dynamic tables, advanced search formulas, etc. / MS Project is Plus
