Price/Cost Analyst

Summary:The Price/Cost Analyst will be responsible for analyzing pricing strategies, cost structures, and providing actionable insights to improve gross margins and overall profitability. This role involves collaborating with sales, engineering/estimating, operations, and procurement teams to ensure competitive pricing and cost efficiency in line with the company's financial objectives. Pricing model development to include customer data collection, internal data collection, data normalization, risk and strategic analysis, contract requirements evaluation, long-term valuation, and cost performance monitoring. Additional responsibilities include quote database management, review and approval of Inside Sales team quotations, analysis of customer orders against proposals, and management of customer relationships and expectations. Main Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and maintain pricing models to support competitive pricing strategies.Conduct financial analysis to assess the impact of pricing changes on profitability.Prepare reports and proposal presentations on pricing, cost trends, and profitability metrics.Maintain quotation database information from receipt of quotation to release of proposal.Collaborate with the sales team to review customer pricing and identify opportunities for renegotiation.Participate in proposal working sessions with senior management as required.Review and approve Inside Sales Representative quotations within threshold authority.Analyze product pricing and cost data to identify opportunities for margin improvement.Provide insights on part numbers or products with low gross margins and recommend corrective actions.Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and financial regulations.Additional Duties, as assigned. Requirements: Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.3-5 years of experience in pricing or cost analysis, preferably in aerospace, manufacturing, or a related industry.Strong financial modeling and data analysis skills.Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems; knowledge of data analytics tools is a plus.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively internally and with customers as needed.Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook and Word, Adobe Acrobat, and video-conferencing software.High Energy, self-motivated, self-started, team player and willingness to learn.Ability to work in a high-concentration and fast-paced manufacturing environment.
