Inside Sales Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION Position Title:  Inside Sales Manager             Reports To (Title):  FTC Business President and Avantus Fasteners Senior Director of Sales            Department:   Sales__________________________________________________________________ General DutiesSupervise, Lead, and Coach the Sales Team daily.Build working relationships with key contacts at targeted accounts as assigned.Perform market analysis for industry requirements and competitive pricing by product family to support the development of our strategy and to help maximize bookings and sales margins.Participate in the development of quoting and estimating tools for product costs and implement it within the sales department.Develop and implement pricing strategies in consultation with Site and Avantus Fasteners leadership.Coordinate with our extended team (inside & outside) to understand distributor strategies, business imperatives and top opportunities, allocate appropriate resources, and obtain full collaboration of internal stakeholders and external partners necessary to meet the customers’ needs.Pro-actively lead and support problem solving efforts with FTC stakeholders to resolve customer issues and coordinate internal actions as needed.Establish routine contact with primary customer accounts through phone, and email contact with customers and distributors.Present technical presentations to all levels of the customer that will influence the decision to make a purchase or partner.Initiate and coordinate joint sales calls.Perform timely follow ups on all sales leads assigned (leads, sample requests, quote inquiries, etc.).Maintain and manage the customer approval matrix to assure we are working on the proper qualifications and have good information for field sales support.  The role also includes disseminating the information to our customer base. SalesPrepare sales reports and forecasts by customer, product type, etc.Manage the workload in the department, including handle specific accounts as required to meet customer expectations.Take responsibility and ownership over customer issues that need second level support (i.e., next in line after CSR’s)Manage the quote process in the department, including setting up quoting guidelines, process improvements and setting procedures.Coordinate efforts of the CSRs, Estimating Team, and other FTC stakeholders to provide timely and accurate responses to customer Requests For Quote and Information.Lead the contract review of all incoming Customer Purchase Orders for manufacturing/testing specifications, customer requirements, lead times, qualifications, and certification reviews.  Direct Sales Staff to acknowledge Purchase Orders back to the customer after the review has been completed and confirm lead time and pricing back to the customer.Be the site lead in customer communications. Skills and Formal Training Requirements/ExperienceUndergraduate degree in Business, Engineering, or other discipline/experience.Minimum four years’ technical sales and Sales Management experience in the Aerospace Industry.Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)High Energy, self-motivated, self-started, team player and willingness to learn.Demonstrated capability of leading and managing teams to achieve high standards.  Must have strong interpersonal skills working with internal and external customers.Knowledge of pricing strategies and demonstrated negotiation techniques.Knowledge of aerospace customer base.Solid understanding of aerospace fastener part numbers.Ability to read and understand part drawings.Proactive problem solving.Strong phone skills – conveying information effectively over the phoneKnowledgeable in the use of MS Word, Excel, Outlook.Speaking — Talking to others to convey information effectively.Sales Orientation – Actively looking to develop and capture sales opportunities.Service Orientation — Actively looking for ways to help people, diffuse dissatisfied customer situationsCritical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.  AUD Valley Glen 91605-4116
