In-House Expeditor

Basic Purpose and ObjectiveCoordinate all production control activities of all work orders and materials within the organization to achieve to the production plan. Work closely with both OSP Expeditor and area Supervisors/Leads to deploy resources and shift work orders to our supply base to achieve the company objectives. Communicate to customer service any disruptions in production that could jeopardize the shipment schedule for proper customer follow up.   Duties include reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules; conferring with department supervisors/leads to determine progress of work, setting priorities on how to load the machine/department, and completion dates; and compiling reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems.Perform other duties and assignments as needed.Assist all departments with the removal of impediments that jeopardize the production schedule (i.e., tooling, material, engineering issues, manpower, etc.).Distribute production schedules and work orders to departments. Communicate recent changes and important expedites to supervisors/leads, so the production areas clearly understand the priorities by work area.Handle customer inquiries for specific information regarding the status of orders.
