HEADING OPERATOR/Cold-Warm Heading

Join the Fastener Innovation Technology (FIT) team! FIT, founded in 1979, is a leading manufacturer of specialty fasteners to the  military and commercial aerospace sectors, working with customer such as Boeing, Incora (Wesco), Raytheon, and Lockheed Martin. We are looking for 2 experienced Machine Operators - Headerman Cold/Warm Heading.The successful candidates will:Under general supervision, and according to established policies and procedures, operate various sizes and types of cold forming machines to automatically shape parts to blueprint specifications and set-up charts.Thread stock through wire drawer and straightening rolls and against stop in machine.Start machine and observe operation, periodically gauging and checking parts for conformance to specifications.Adjust settings of dies or controls, as required, to obtain product meeting specifications and quality standards.Remove, replace bins of formed parts when specified number have been produced.Maintain housekeeping in the department.Read measuring equipment such as shadowgraph, micrometers, calipers, and related equipment.Move stock to and from machine location.Pull and resets tooling as required.Skills and Formal Training Requirements/ExperienceApply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic form.  Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in or from standardized situations.Add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure.  Perform the four operations with like common and decimal fractions.  Compute ratio, rate, and percent.Some of our competitive benefits package includes:Medical, dental, and vision insuranceLife insurance and disability coverageAnd more: Apply now and be part of the FIT Team!Fastener Innovation Technology is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer, committed to a diverse work force and a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
