POSITION SUMMARYFastener Technology, Corp (FTC) is a manufacturing company specializing in the design and production of Aerospace Fasteners. We are seeking an experienced Controller that can provide support and guidance to FTC’s President in identifying key strategic growth priorities; contribute technical advice and operational financial support on matters related to internal and external reporting, compliance, and general guidance of financial controls to the senior management team members.The chosen candidate will report directly to the President with a dotted line to the Avantus Group Chief Financial Officer and Group Finance Director in ensuring the company fully complies with all Group and entity specific reporting, compliance, and control obligations.MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPro-active contributor and driver as key member of the senior management team in the effective management and development of FTC’ s business, including strategic initiatives, targeted improvement initiatives, working capital management, cost optimization plans and actions, KPI development and system utilization and maintenance.Work with FTC President in the management of the budget process to deliver a budget that is aligned to strategic and financial objectives of the business.Facilitate consolidation of rolling bi-weekly cash flow forecasts and review and follow-up of all significant variances.Prepare monthly financial reporting packs using the Great Plains ERP system and Group OneStream Reporting tool, including all necessary reconciliations and validations associated with a typical month close process. Prepare full year-end accounting submissions, supplementary and taxation disclosure analyses on a timely basis. Manage audit and preside as liaison with the Group’s external auditors to facilitate an efficient year-end close. Address ad hoc queries related to the above.Provide coaching and support of internal leadership to better identify and deliver their cost reduction targets, improve their contribution to EBITDA, and define meaningful measures and targets for their team members.Oversee payroll function and systems including time management and legally compliant pay, and benefit compliance including the maintenance of up-to-date records of workforce benefit participation against qualification criteria and regular pay benchmarking against market.Cooperate with the Group CFO, Group finance and Group Compliance functions on key business development and compliance requirements and ad hoc projects.Oversee and ensure all Great Plains ERP and related business processes and internal controls maintain the highest standards of integrity with effective governance and system driven data integrity.Controller position supervises the company’s AP Clerk, AR Cost Accountant, Purchasing and I.T. Managers, and ensures their compliance with all company training and development requirements. Perform other such duties related to financial management, business development and financial stewardship of FTC which generally correspond to the nature of the position and its level of responsibility.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCEStrong experience and knowledge of fastener or related manufacturing environment preferred. Hands-on experience operating within a subsidiary or division of a listed corporation or private equity backed group preferred. IT hands-on literacy, with ability and willingness to learn and master reporting and finance systems including Great Plains ERP and One Stream if not already proficient.
