This position may be tasked with creating models and fixtures. This role requires extensive experience analyzing existing models, drawings and mylars from legacy defense and commercial aircrafts. Experienced interpreting Boeing Defense, Lockheed and Northrop technical drawings and models is a requirement. The Programmer role is expected to have a comprehensive understanding of all CNC machining and programming operations. This role is tasked with working in close concert with machinist, leads, engineers, quality, estimators and management to increase productivity, optimize machining programs and procedures and WIN new business.Reporting Structure Direct Line – CNC Engineering ManagerMain Duties and Responsibilities:Produce CNC programs for complex Titanium, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, etc. critical aerospace componentsDesigns and program holding fixtures. Supports tooling selectionUse of 3rd party verification software to validate NC files generated before releasing to shop floorAble to work closely with CNC Engineering Mgr. for programming strategy and executionSelect optimal tooling & cutting speeds / feeds aerospace materials such as: Aluminum / Copper / Stainless Steels Titanium / InconelDesign work holding for production processesMakes or offer suggestions on drawing changes to improve manufacturabilityMeets expectations for productivity and production goalsConstantly keep products moving and alerting management when production is inhibitedProvides consistent ideas for process improvements. Hands-on experience on CNC machining is a plus.Proved GD&T experienceAbility to interpret Boeing, Lockheed, Northrop requirements from CAD models and legacy drawingsStrong English verbal and written communication skillsAttention to detail with a focus on accuracyAbility to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlinesMust have good phone skills and the ability to interact professionally with others, both internally and externally.Must have good listening skills and the ability to be mindful and attentive to the feedback from customers.Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)Required to be onsite to assist with the set-up process when jobs go on machineHigh school diploma or GED.
