If you want to advance your career with a global footprint and contributing to a vision focused on customer success and respect for employees, then apply to this opportunity.Summary:The Final/In-Process Inspector is responsible for performing inspections of parts throughout the manufacturing process and perform the final inspection of parts prior to shipment to the customer., and working with customer source inspectors to ensure part conformity and timely delivery of aerospace products. This role is required to analyze specifications including written statements of work, purchase orders, part/assembly models, drawings, parts lists, bills of material, layouts, etc. and verify all required documentation has been properly interpreted and applied to the part production process. This role requires proven experience using a variety of inspection methods to determine part conformity for precision machined 3 & 5 axis components, sheet metal parts and assemblies.  Experienced working with Spirit Aerospace, Boeing Defense, Lockheed, Northrop, Collins Aerospace and other major aerospace suppliers. This role works closely with customer source inspectors as well as the Lamsco production and engineering teams.Reporting Structure This position reports directly to the Director of Lean and Quality SystemsMain Duties and Responsibilities:Interprets customer specifications, CAD models, purchase orders and blue prints to determine part conformity requirements.Performs First Articles in accordance with AS9102 requirements. Gathers all documentation to generate report.Inspects parts throughout the production process using a variety of inspection methodsUnderstands GD&T and can perform dimensional inspection on parts.Performs Delegated Source Inspection Activities on behalf of Customer, ensuring product complies with the Customer requirements.Participates in analysis statistical data from processes to either confirm compliance with established standards or identify deviations from standardsConducts examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials and components at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standardsDocuments Nonconformance’s (NCMR’s) and coordinates disposition with Quality Engineering.Participates in analysis of statistical data from processes to either confirm compliance with established standards or identify deviations from standardsPrepares and completes all necessary documentation for reporting acceptance/rejection of inspected and/or tested itemsIdentifies design, process or other inefficiencies and reports quality concerns and issuesConducts internal audits and corrective action follow upsAdditional Comments: The essential functions have been provided as examples of the type of work performed by employees assigned to this job classification.
